We keep as little about you as we can. Here is all of it.
If you just read
- We set one cookie, which keeps your session working. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and no outside analytics.
- To count views and downloads fairly, we make a scrambled code from your connection and browser that changes every day. We never store your IP address, and the code can’t be turned back into it.
If you sign in
- Your email address, to send you sign-in links and messages about your books. It is never shown on the site and never shared or sold.
- Whatever you put on your profile (name, bio, photo, website). This is public on your author page. Photos are shrunk and their hidden details, such as location, are removed.
- Your ratings and reviews, which are public under your name.
- The books you upload and the dates things happened (when you joined, uploaded or were last seen).
If you report something
Your reason and details, and your email address only if you choose to give it so we can reply.
We only send email you need: sign-in links and news about your own books. No newsletters.
Where it’s kept
On our own server in a data centre, with nightly backups. Emails are sent through our mail provider, PurelyMail.
Your choices
You can change your profile at any time, and delete your account from your profile page. That removes your profile, ratings and reviews and withdraws your books. For anything else, including a copy of what we hold about you, write to aibookbot@vizimail.com.
